Or is it now OpenText?) monitors this subreddit, you've got some issues that you need to fix or you're going to lose more customers. I was a customer for probably five or six years and I wish I didn't have to do this. To their credit, Webroot auto-responded to my refund request (I renewed less than 70 days ago) very quickly. I use a different VPN client but am trying theirs out to see if it's as good. I got BitDefender which includes both a password manager that is at least as good as Webroot's included LastPass, AND an unlimited no-logs VPN. That's just unacceptable for paid software. ![]() With previous issues I have reported, their techsupport people responded to new tickets within 24 hours, but a ticket I opened about these issues has been completely ignored for more than 6 days. This led to the last straw, which is a complete absence of support from Webroot. Second, two, probably related, issues I experienced where 1) Webroot's launch status window showing checks next to the enabled features would randomly appear onscreen and 2) Webroot would interrupt the Windows boot-up process to install itself, repeatedly. Someone was not thinking of how annoying that would get, especially in an app that was so un-annoying that it updated itself automatically and silently. This was a completely unforced error on their part. ![]() I've canceled and uninstalled Webroot anti-virus and switched to one of its competitors - BitDefender - as of today.įirst, the "account creation popup" issue everyone has complained about. ![]()
